Concordia Annual Summit

Here is your chance to take part in the exclusive 2023 Concordia Annual Summit this September. A group of One To World students will have the unique opportunity to attend the prestigious conference for a once-in-a-lifetime chance to network, meet and hear from private and public sector leaders from the U.S. and around the world.

 

The 2023 Concordia Annual Summit has over a decade of experience bringing together heads of state, and leaders of the private and NGO sectors to discuss new and diversified perspectives to explore tangible solutions to local and global challenges. This 13th Annual Summit will maintain its position as the largest and most inclusive nonpartisan forum alongside the UN General Assembly. It will address the most pressing global issues of our time, from the role of the private sector in combating disinformation to the urgent steps needed to address today’s mental health crisis and advance environmental sustainability.

Virtual Mock Interviews & Career Advice with Fitch Ratings

Want to practice your interviewing? Do you have any questions to ask experienced professionals at a large company? At this virtual program, employees of Fitch Ratings, an American credit rating agency, will be helping interested students boost their professional development skills. We will be doing mock interviews as well as answering questions related to time management, work/life balance and application preparation.

You’ve likely absorbed the famous Manhattan skyline from the popular Staten Island Ferry, or from visits to other boroughs, but have you enjoyed these views on a party boat with a few hundred new and existing friends?

 

Celebrate the beginning of a new academic year by dancing the night away on the ship deck with a live DJ, 300 international students, and other friends of One To World!

Community Service: Kitchen Projects to Feed Those in Need

Want to start the fall off by volunteering in the community? At this event, you’ll be working in a kitchen helping to prepare high-quality meals for people living with various illnesses.

 

God’s Love We Deliver cooks and home-delivers nutritious, medically tailored meals for people too sick to shop or cook for themselves. All of their services are provided free and full of love to people in need. Volunteers will be in the kitchen helping on-staff chefs with a variety of projects. You will receive instructions from the staff member for the project of the day. Tasks may include packaging meals, chopping onions, making meatballs, ladling soup, peeling potatoes, scooping baked goods or preparing fresh herbs.

Day Trip to Six Flags Great Adventure Amusement Park in New Jersey

Interested in experiencing a ride that was voted the #1 rollercoaster in USA Today’s 10 Best Awards 2022? Or maybe you have been looking for an opportunity to check out famous themed rides like, Batman, The Joker, or Superman!

 

For the first time ever, One To World is bringing a group of international students and friends to Jackson, New Jersey for an all-day trip to Six Flags Great Adventure, an amusement park that boasts 14 world-class rollercoasters and many other games and fun rides! Whether or not you consider yourself a “thrill-seeker,” this is a great opportunity to let loose and have a good time before the fall semester gets too busy.

 

We’ve secured a group ticket discount, and will be traveling together by yellow school bus to and from Six Flags. Both are included in the price of your ticket. Your entry ticket to the park includes ALL rides in the Great Adventure Park aside from a couple that require an additional fee like the Slingshot and Daredevil Dive. Community Service: Meal Deliveries to the Elderly

Want to give back to the local community? At this event, you’ll be delivering nutritious meals to the homebound elderly living in NYC. It’s a great opportunity to familiarze yourself with the Lower East Side of Manhattan, while helping those in need!

 

Founded in 1981, Citymeals on Wheels provides a continuous lifeline of nourishing meals and vital companionship to nearly 20,000 homebound elderly New Yorkers. They have delivered 65 million meals to older New Yorkers in need, reminding them they’re not forgotten on weekends, holidays and in times of emergency.

One To World Meet-Up: Outdoor Movie Night at Bryant Park

Celebrate the end of summer with a New York City tradition of 30 years! We are heading to Bryant Park for outdoor movie night.

Our group will be arriving early to ensure a good spot on the grass and give us some time to play games, enjoy snacks, and get to know one another.

This year we will be viewing the movie Zoolander! a parody comedy about a male model in the fashion world. Join us if you’re in the mood to laugh and make new friends!
