Our Commitment to Privacy
This Policy may be changed or updated from time to time. Should changes be made, they will be posted on this Privacy Notice with the date of revision. By visiting the One To World website, you accept the practices described in this Policy.
When a constituent creates a profile on the One To World website or renews their membership, we ask for their e-mail address (along with other contact information and demographic information) which are then entered into our database. Member organization names are published on our website in our membership directory, but all contact information is kept confidential and is not shared without permission. One To World periodically mails its members, students, and other constituents items, including event details and invoices. However, our primary form of communication is via e-mail and our website.
We use a variety of security measures to protect your data. We maintain physical, electronic, and procedural safeguards to help prevent unauthorized access to and improper use of personally identifiable information. We have implemented security policies and technical measures to protect the personal data that we collect, consistent with applicable privacy and security laws. These security measures are designed to prevent unauthorized access, improper use or disclosure, unauthorized modification, and unlawful destruction or accidental loss of your personal data. No website or electronic data can ever be completely secure, but we are always working to maintain up-to-date and appropriate security mechanisms.
E-mail and Web
One To World sends e-newsletters to our member lists twice a month, and to our donors once a month. Twice a month, we send an e-mail to all students announcing upcoming events. Occasionally, One To World will send an e-mail notice to members, students, or donors on a matter that we deem important or timely that will not make it into our routine newsletters. One To World does not share, rent, or sell its member list, or other mailing lists, with any individual or organization with the following exception: One To World may provide students’ primary contact information to our program partners, hosts, and participants. These partiesartners may not share this contact information with anyone else. When signing up for a One To World
event, you are agreeing to share your contact information with these parties. In the event that you do not want your information shared you can email email@example.com, or contact the One To World staff member who is coordinating the event.
Opt In/Opt Out
You can opt out of our listservs at any time by using the Update Preferences/Unsubscribe link, found at the bottom of any e-mail. You can also notify us by emailing firstname.lastname@example.org. Surveys From time-to-time, we may ask One To World constituents to participate in
surveys. Participation is voluntary. We may ask contact and/or demographic information to follow up on any survey questions. Survey information is shared publicly only in the aggregate; One To World will not share individual organization’s answers or contact information. On occasion, comments made in response to survey questions may be published in an anonymous manner. The information collected will be used to better serve our members.
