Are you looking for an engaging way to celebrate Thanksgiving? Do you yearn for an opportunity to get out of NYC and relax in the countryside?
Our upcoming overnight visit to Lancaster County, Pennsylvania is the perfect opportunity to enjoy the holiday, while also befriending community members who are excited to meet you!
Many students who have previously participated on this event have remembered it as their favorite experience during their time in the USA because of the deep connections they were able to build with the locals and one another. This is a once in a lifetime experience that you should take advantage of while you can
Schedule of Events
Thursday: Thanksgiving Day! You will depart from NYC together with about 30 other international students on a private bus to Lancaster (approximately a 4-hour trip) in the morning. Upon arrival, you will meet with our local host coordinator who has arranged for everyone to stay at an historic mansion (each person has their own room). The host and other local family members will enjoy a big Thanksgiving meal with you all at the mansion that evening.
Friday: You will have breakfast at the mansion. Afterwards, there will be a group excursion to a nearby Amish community where you will learn about the Amish culture, try some delicious homemade treats, and explore the traditions of this unique aspect of American life. There will also be some time to visit the famous Hershey Park and take part in a game night with local families before departing in the evening back to NYC.

- Roundtrip private bus to and from Lancaster, PA from NYC
- Accommodations at a historic mansion in Lancaster for one night (each person has their own room)
