Join us for our second discussion and hear from two leaders in the corporate and academic world:
Harald Halbhuber is a partner in the Capital Markets practice at Shearman & Sterling, where he focuses on complex corporate finance transactions, representing issuers and investment banks in debt and equity offerings, high yield financings, debt restructurings and equity derivatives. He also advises clients on critical disclosure and financial reporting matters, an area on which he has authored several publications.

 

Martin Gelter, expert in comparative corporate law and governance, joined the faculty of Fordham Law School in 2009. He has been a Visiting Professor at National Taiwan University and University of Paris-II, a Considine Fellow in Law and Economics at Harvard Law School, a Visiting Fellow at the University of Bologna, and an assistant professor at the WU Vienna University of Economics. Martin has been an ECGI research member since 2006. Among other degrees, Martin holds an S.J.D. from Harvard Law School and an M.A. in Quantitative Methods for the Social Sciences from Columbia University.

 

As experts in corporate governance, Harald and Martin will speak on the importance of responsible corporate management and best practices in the field. They will share their professional experiences in the business and academic world and facilitate a conversation on this important topic that impacts all of us consumers, professionals, and global citizens.
