Private Tour of New York Public Library Building and Treasures Exhibition
March 30 @ 4:00 pm - 5:30 pm
$15.00
Do you know the names of the marble lions guarding the New York Public Library? Patience and Fortitude. The NYPL is the 2nd largest library in the U.S., only behind the Library of Congress. It holds nearly 56 million items. It was established in 1895 and was declared a National Historic Landmark in 1965.
In celebration of its 125th anniversary, the NYPL calculated a list of its most checked out books:
- The Snowy Day by Ezra Jack Keats
- The Cat in the Hat by Dr. Seuss
- 1984 by George Orwell
At this program, you will have the opportunity to take a private docent-led tour of the main building and to explore the Polonsky "Treasures" Exhibition. If you are interested in learning more about the history of the building, meeting other students interested in this event or asking questions of an expert, register today!
Early Bird Discount: $10 (until March 10th)
