One To World Hike: Devil’s Den in Weston, CT

April 28 @ 8:00 am - 7:00 pm

Free – $16.00

Have you ever been to Connecticut? This is a great chance to get fresh air and to see a different state nearby New York City.

We will take a train from Grand Central and eventually get out in Cannondale. Once there, we will drive to the Devil’s Den Preserve, encompassing 1,746 acres, which is one of the larger preserves in the metropolitan New York area. It’s name is from local lore where charcoal makers in the area said that a hoof-like mark made in a boulder was the footprint of the Devil. It is home to many different animals, such as red foxes, coyotes, bobcats and over 140 bird species. Over 500 types of trees and wildflowers are found in this preserve.

Ticket does not include lunch or your train ticket. We encourage you to bring lunch and eat it at some point on the hike. Happy trails!
