Cultural Cuisine @ Sabor Argentino

One To World’s Cultural Cuisine is back! Get together and enjoy New York’s vibrant restaurant landscape on a student budget. Whether you are a dedicated foodie, especially interested in one cuisine, or simply looking to make new friends and spend the evening with a group of students, you are encouraged to join us for our first dinner of the new year!
We will be dining at a restaurant in the heart of the West Village called Sabor Argentino. It offers some of the most authentic Argentine cuisine in New York City! As read on their website: “Food lies at the heart of the Argentine spirit. The country has had glorious ups and terrible downs, and, all in all, here’s what we have learned: no matter what happens, as long as we have good food on the table, and good friends to share it with, we will get by just fine…” The owner of the restaurant will be present to share his story and to tell us more about this cuisine.
Our dinner will be family-style, so everyone will be sharing the dishes. Additionally, your ticket will come with a soda of your choice. The restaurant has created a menu for our group to sample a variety of their food. It will include:
- Empanadas: homemade & baked
- Choripan sandwiches: consists of chorizo, a sausage made out of beef and pork
- Fries, sweet potato & regular
- Salads
- Parrillada: variety of different grilled meats
- Flan (dessert): baked custard with caramel
- Postre balcarce (dessert): a traditional Argentinian sponge cake
