Community Service: Bag Books for Kids in Need with Brooklyn Book Bodega

March 5 @ 2:00 pm - 5:00 pm

$7.00

Did you love to read when you were a kid? Studies show that children who grow up around books are far more likely to succeed in school and find work as adults. However, up to 61% of low-income families do not have any books for their kids at home.

That's where Brooklyn Book Bodega comes in. Brooklyn Book Bodega works with local schools and community centers to gather and distribute books to underprivileged families in Brooklyn. During this program, you'll volunteer with other international students to sort and stamp the Bodega's books to prepare them for distribution to the community.
